  • You love to sing because it brings you joy. It makes you feel alive. On some days, your voice sounds beautiful, and you feel there is more inside of you.
  • You have a high pressure job and want to balance your life with something that is fun, empowering and relaxing at the same time.
  • You would love to sing together with others, in an ensemble, in a band, or at an open mic, but you don’t have the confidence to perform in front of others.
  • You might write your own songs but don't know how to express yourself with your voice.
  • You want to sing with more power and consistency avoiding the ‘cracking’ in your voice, but you have no idea how to improve.
  • You want to sing the songs you love but you run out of breath and drop out at the high notes.
  • You want to increase your range, but your throat feels tight and the harder you try, the worse it gets. Sometimes you go flat and feel embarrassed.

But there is all this beautiful music you want to sing. You feel there is a gap between who you are and who you want to be.

You are afraid if something doesn’t change soon, you will never improve your voice and end up singing in your car until the end of your life.
You are not alone. I have been in your shoes and many other singers have been. It is hard to get started.
With CMVL’s personalized 1:1 holistic voice lessons for adults, you will learn how to increase your range, smooth out your breaks, improve your tone, and find your authentic self- expression so that you can feel confident to sing the songs you love for yourself or in front of others.

Take the first step now. Book a free Zoom call with me to let me know about your goals.

Not sure what holistic singing lessons are?

Holistic voice lessons do not only focus on the voice, but the whole singer. Besides working on vocal technique and songs, we will work on your artistry, we will do body awareness exercises, mindfulness exercises that will help your singing and self-expression. We will develop a singing routine that works for your schedule and that helps you to see the improvements you are looking for.  We will do exercises to help you overcome your fears so that you can become confident and the best version of yourself.
Singing is not so much about great talent but about making parts of your voice and body move in a way that they are producing a beautiful sound. Some people do this naturally, some don't.

Great singing can be learned by anybody who commits to learning it. Somehow this takes the magic out of it, but it empowers us. You CAN reach your goal if you start training your voice.

The magic comes in when your technique works so well that you don't need to think about your notes or breathing anymore. You are free to express yourself and enjoy the music and connection with your fellow musicians and audience.

Sounds amazing, doesn't it? The dream of every singer ...  and absolutely doable. Want to get started?

I'm happy and excited about the progress I've been making. I feel like you have helped me find my voice. Work we have done focusing on breathing, relaxing the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, posture, confidence, and speaking/singing with a message have helped me feel healthier and happier even outside of singing.

The type of energy you bring to the lessons and the sensitivity you seem to have to my energy and flow have helped me understand myself in some new ways both musically and otherwise. Singing is such a beautiful union of musical art, physicality, human connection, and expression.

I just finished singing in my 5th production!

A few years ago, I heard Christine singing in a performance. I liked her voice and personality and started taking lessons with her. I was an absolute beginner. Christine helped me developing my vocal technique, introduced me to storytelling and acting, with the result that I cannot only attend musical productions, but sing in them myself!

Christine has the rare and wonderful ability to point out mistakes without making you feel bad. She is a very good listener, always willing to answer my questions and comments. I highly recommend her!

I would never have believed that my voice could grow like that!

I was inexperienced and without any knowledge of vocal technique. The professional competence, the patience, the empathy and the personal commitment of Christine have made every singing lesson something special.

Participants sited their work with Christine as their favorite aspect of Teen Performance Workshop

Christine served as music director for our 2019 summer training program, lead group and individual voice lessons, and taught our participants the music which they presented in a performance. Her holistic approach to our young performers created a safe, encouraging environment for them to challenge themselves to be better artists. In the post-program survey, most of the participants sited their work with Christine as their favorite aspect of Teen Performance Workshop.
The Seattle Opera youth programs has benefited greatly from Christine Menschner, and her thorough, thoughtful approach to all that she teaches.

I learned what it means to have a supported sound.

Before taking lessons with Christine, I did not have a good understanding of what it meant to have a supported sound, or of the mechanisms required to achieve it. Christine is very detail-oriented and was very patient in helping me to acquire this foundation.
She is a wonderful teacher who can explain concepts in multiple different ways.

I could see major improvements!

"I tensed up quickly, got hoarse and high notes were difficult to achieve. Christine realized immediately how my singing could be improved! Through her clear and vivid explanations, I could sing the exercises well. If I did not understand something, she found another way to describe it and helped me to feel the involved muscles by myself.

I was not used to sing alone in front of somebody, but Christine could lure me with her natural way out of my initial shyness! Her love for singing was always very motivating."
